Rabbit Soup

Rabbit Soup, what kind of name is that.  Well that's what my husband calls this soup and he does not eat it (he doesn't like veggies, hes a meat eater).

Well my Lexi girl LOVES this soup and will devour a whole heaping bowl each time I make it.

So supper easy

Chicken Stock
Frozen Broccoli
Cauliflower
Carrots
Favorite cheese Ravioli (we use Tortellini)

That's it 5 INGREDIENTS
and about 25 minutes to make.

The ingredients, I used about 1 cup to 1 1/2 cups of all the ingredients.
When your stock comes to a bowl add cauliflower and carrots.  Cook for 10 minutes.
Add broccoli and tortellini and cook for 7 more minutes.
Lexi Girls cool bowl, she had a heaping bowl full and ate every bit of it.
Alivias cool bowl
Yummy. That's my bowl.
Yummy yum.

Alivia LOVED the broccoli and carrots.
She didn't care for the cauliflower or tortellini.

Valentines Drop Box

Been almost 5 months since I posted something. YIKES. I hope to post more ofter now that I am part time and only work 3 days a week.

I recently say on The Iowa Farmers Facebook page this idea to make a drop box.

It was originally a Snow Flake drop box but since Valentines was coming up I thought why not a Hear drop box.

I got my jar from hobby lobby. Its a 4X4 round and 5 1/2 inches tall. Its glass with a screw plastic lid.
5.99 but on sale 50% off.

I The Wooden Cirlces were also from Hobby Lobby. The Tree House Studio, they called them Wooden Nickles, 22 pieces, item # 622191

From the Dollar store i got the Pink glitter Foam stickers. I only used half of them so I still have enough for another project or to let Lexi girl use them as she chooses.

I used some hear stamps from my collection and different pink inks also from my collection/stash.

The Jar.
Decorated with the Foam Hear glitter stickers, theres a big heart at the top of the jar.  After the girls played with it Lexi girl had moved some of the stickers so I will need to keep an eye out for stickers that are loose before giving to Alivia Pivia to play.
The wooden circles.
A background heart stamp, I find it easier to ink the top and apply the wood circles to the top rather then putting the background stamp on top of the wood shape.
All 3 stamps I used.
Finished stamping, showing the different colors of pink and red inks I used.
Miss Alivia Pivia collecting them and putting in the jar.
She played with this for almost an hour straight. And still is carrying the jar around the house.
Who's that in the back, Miss Lexi Girl.

Pause for TV.
OK back to playing.

Fudge-Sicle

Yummy. They say 50 calories a POP

Alert- If your a Milk chocolate person these can be adapted, but they are more of a Suttle chocolate flavor.

Ingredient's

5 Tbsp Coco powder
13 oz can coconut milk
1 Tbsp honey
1 Tsp vanilla extract
pinch of salt

Here's the ingredient's I used.
The Tools.

That's a Single Serve Blender from GE

Got it at walmart and I really love it.
All the stuff in the blender, it reached the max line when i put the milk in but it still worked.
About to blend it all together
Put in a cup with a spout, Still messy when pouring  into the molds but not as messy.
In the Freezer they go.
I just run hot water over the pop I want and it comes right out.

I mean run the water not on top but along the Popsicle part. Do ya get it, I hope so.

Miss Alivia thinks there OK too, blurry picture as I am trying to take the picture and give her a taste!

You could possibly experiment with coco powders and the coconut milk.

I got the recipes off of The Chew on ABC

DIY Vanillia Coffee Creamer

Just made some coffee creamer and it was easy and quick. Minus my Pint jar too small but it still worked out situation. LOL

So that's What you need, Along with a can opener, small spatula and tsp.

14oz sweetened condensed milk
14oz milk (can substitute heavy cream)
2 tsp vanilla coffee flavoring (or vanilla extract)
Not 1 but 2 pint jars. LOL my mistake after I started the process.

<--------inserts prented 2nd Pint Jar!!!
OK open your evaporated milk and if your using PINT jars put half in one and the other half in the other. No need to get a measuring cup for your milk just add into the 14oz can and again put half in one jar and half in the other jar.

Spatula is to scrape the condensed milk out because its supper thick.
The jar on the right is what I started with when I realized it wasn't going to fit. So lada dada dada, I poured the regular milk back into the condensed milk can and then since the condensed milk is so think it pretty much stayed put in the pouring process, then I dived the condensed milk between the two can and same with the regular milk.
Add 1 tsp vanilla flavoring of your choice to each jar.
And shake shake shake.  I had to opened mid shakes to scrape the jar because again the condensed milk is very thick.
This is what it looks like. YUMMY.
Oh Tassimo its been awhile since I've used you!
Very strong Tassimo Gevalia Signature Cream coffee
OK, I am the gall that likes more creamer then coffee but still like a bit of the coffee taste.

So I counted and I ended up adding 8 TBSP of my creamer, 7 could and would have been fine as well but I was testing and added the extra one.

SO I measured and estimated I could get 7 cups of coffee worth's with 7 tbsp of creamer in each.

Which works out perfectly because the milk I just opened will last for 7 days.

Other variations

coconut milk and coconut extract
Heavy cream instead of Regular milk
can add spices if you want
can change the extracts as well
chocolate syrup with peppermint extract  (definitely will be trying that)

Of course this recipe was off Pinterest!

Would make a good gift, add a ribbon and label and viola, be sure to include a good until so so date (due to the milk)

DIY Powdered Laundry Soap

My how to on this easy Powdered Laundry Soap. It literally took me 15 minutes to make and that was just a small batch for 30 loads!

 My set up!
1 cup each of the borax and arm and hammer.

Grate one bar of Ivory Soap.

Put in a big container and shake really good to mix it up and it will help break down the soap more as well.

I am going to look for a cheap food processor but for now this works.  When I find a processor I will pulse it in there but if you use one it will need to only be used for soap not food.
I bought a grater from the dollar store along with the measuring cup and a big container to shake my soap up as well as a container to store it in after Ive shaken it up really good. I also took the scoop from Miss Alivia's formula refill packs, they give you a new scoop each time. The scoop is roughly 2 tablespoons which is perfect.
That's the scoop and how it looks after shaken.
Much better view.

It calls for 1 TBSP for regular loads and 2 TBSP for more soiled loads.
How it looks on my shelf, I stuck the bar of soap and grater inside my shaking container.

Below I added the Soap before my clothes its hard to see but its in there.

I always use cold water and the soap still dissolves and doesn't build or gunk up in my machine.

I also added it after I put my clothes and still fine.

My girls have sensitive skin and there tolerating it like I never changed soaps.
The prices are all VIA goggle, I forgot to save my receipt. Next time I shop I will right them down.

The cost for the Super Washing Soda by Arm & Hammer   $3.24
For 55 oz    get roughly 6 cups to one box

The cost for the 20 Mule Team Borax    $3.38
For 76 oz    get roughly 9 cups to one box

The cost for 3 bars Ivory soap     $1.24
1 bar per batch

So I can make 6 batches for under 10 dollars.  I will need 3 more Ivory.

There really isn't a smell, you can add essential oils or the Purex crystals if you want.

I am going to buy the Purex crystals because I like to have my sheets and towels smell, I don't really care about my clothes as long as there clean ( which they are with this soap ) and that they don't smell musty or ucky ( and they don't with this soap ).

Purex Crystal price $8.96, I have a coupon to help and it would last a long time since I would only use it for sheets and towels.

I also have some coupons for the Ivory soap and I will use them next time I buy the Ivory.

DIY Baby Leg's

The prices for Baby leg's, leggings, warmers, or how ever you call them (ie the long socks that keeps babys knees from getting red crawling around) is crazy ranging from $4.00(if im lucky enough to get on cleanence) to $16.00.

So I was going about Pinterest and You Tube and alot of people have different ways to make them.

Heres how I did it.

A pair of knee high socks from Target, and they recently had a TON on cleareance
$1.75   I got a whole bunch of different patterns.
Cut your sock UP.   Next time I will  change the lenght on the inside peice (the peice between the toe and heel)   I will cut more closer to each end as long as I can keep the cut as straight as possible. The peice make the cuff of the sock.
Now cut off about 1/2 inch off that middle part, that will make your cuff a little smaller then the end of your sock, but if your little one has chunkier legs or skinner legs you can adjust the cuff size by cutting more or less.
Fold inhalf so the patterns face each other and sew a straight stick right down the line. Ive seen some use a zig zag stitch for this part as well.
Flip the the cuff in on itself. The picture shows it some what. If you have anyquestions just leave a comment.
Take the remaing sock and flip inside out.
Insert cuff inside sock, having raw edges together.
Again threw the videos and other tutorials ive seen people do this differently, with the main sock right side out and the cuff around the outside of it.
Know comes the tricky part, well not realy tricky you just need to take your time and go slow.

Gently stretch/pull/put the raw edges together as you sew, I just did a little then restraightend and did alittle more. Straightening, pulling as you go.

Ive seen a video of someone putting the sock around the inside of machine but I thought it stretched it too much. But those poeple said they washed after they made them and the shrank back.

Either way GO SLOW. I used a straight stitch again.

The top photo is me getting them together and straight/alighned and this photo is how they are when I sew.

Then I repeat top and bottom photo tell I get all they way around.
This photo shows the cuff inside before ive sewn it and after ive sewn it.

Pretty cool huh? My fist cuff EVER!
Finished 1st pair

Miss Alivia Rockin her LEGGINS

The best part is they have room to grow well into toddler hood!

Little close up!
So All in All it took me maybe half hour from start to finish. Totaly worth it, Gonna make MORE.

If you have any questions just leave them below!

Hmm, was gonna spell check my work but its not working, So forgive my spelling.
